| Starlett, one of Star's pups, was injured by an attacking javelina wild pig (insert) on the American Border Patrol ranch in Arizona this past week . She has a drain tube inserted at mid-body. Starlett ran into a herd of about fifteen wild Javelina when she was injured. Another one of Star's pups, Wolf, was injured when he ran into the middle of an even larger herd about two months ago. On both occasions, the dogs were running on the ranch with Glenn Spencer. "There was no warning when all of a sudden there was total chaos," Spencer said. "I yelled at the dogs and they retreated and came to me, but not before one was injured." Spencer said in the future he would perform an armed patrol of the ranch before letting the dogs run free. |
